Todd Banbury and other Wensum Valley Gym members are cycling a total of 874 miles, the distance from Land's End to John O'Groats for Daisy Garland Charity
In an inspiring display of dedication and community spirit, Todd Banbury and fellow Wensum Valley Gym members are taking on an incredible challenge. They will be cycling a total of 874 miles, the equivalent distance from Land's End to John O'Groats, all in support of the Daisy Garland charity. This national charity works tirelessly to support children with drug-resistant epilepsy and their families.
Epilepsy is a life-altering condition that affects thousands of children across the UK, and for those with drug-resistant epilepsy, the risks can be even more severe. One of the most critical concerns is the risk of seizures during sleep, which can be life-threatening. The funds raised from this event will go directly towards providing night-time breathing monitors. These monitors are vital for keeping children with epilepsy safe while they sleep, giving families peace of mind during the most vulnerable hours.
Todd and the team at Wensum Valley Gym are passionate about making a difference and are determined to fund as many monitors as possible. Each mile they cycle will bring them closer to their goal of supporting these brave children and their families. This event is not just about physical endurance; it's about coming together as a community to make a lasting impact.
If you'd like to join them in this challenging but rewarding journey, whether by cycling or cheering them on, please speak to one of the Wensum Valley team members. Every bit of support counts, and your participation will help raise awareness for this crucial cause.
For those who may not be able to join the event but still wish to contribute, donations are incredibly appreciated. Your generosity will go a long way in ensuring that more children receive the care and safety they need. If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when making your donation, as this will help us raise even more funds for this worthwhile cause.
Together, we can make a difference and help children with epilepsy live safer, healthier lives.
Thank you for your support, and let’s help Todd and the Wensum Valley Gym team reach their goal!
